Description

The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, in partnership with the Human Engineering Research Laboratories at the University of Pittsburgh has been conducting State-of-the-Science Symposia for over two decades. This opportunity educates patients and providers on state-of-the-art rehabilitative knowledge and interventions with a focus on the care of injured military Service Members. The symposium is made up of one-day workshops benefiting Veterans, military Service Members and their families, caregivers, clinicians, students, medical residents, community-based organizations, government agency personnel, and healthcare providers.

Goal of this Symposium: Promote the mission of global health engagement through a whole-of government approach, by establishing and developing partnerships, and by optimizing rehabilitation resources and capabilities.
