Biography

Dr Charmagne Beckett is board certified in Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases and currently works as a Clinical Research Physician at the Pharmaron Clinical Pharmacology Center in Baltimore. Recently retired, she served as an active-duty Navy Medical Corps Officer for nearly 30 years. She was a staff physician at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and still teaches as Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda. Dr Beckett has held several leadership positions including Officer-in-Charge of the Navy’s centralized program that manages force readiness testing for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Deputy Director of Infectious Diseases at the Naval Medical Research Center. Throughout her career, she earned several personal military awards and was selected winner of the Military Health System’s Navy Senior Female Physician Leadership Award in 2022
