38 years in military medicine/pediatrics; formally involved with UME and GME for over 32 years including Associate Program Director, Program Director, Director of Medical Education, Deputy for Education, Training, and Research at Walter Reed; served in leadership roles on multiple national boards and consortia including Association of Pediatric Program Directors, American Academy of Pediatrics, Primary Care Organizations Consortium, AHRQ TeamSTEPPS Curriculum Committee, I-PASS Study Group; over 50 publications in diverse areas inclulding military pediatrics, clinical teaching, international health, medical simulation, chemical warfare, patient care handoffs, mentoring, leadership curricula in GME; invited speaker at over 80 national and international conferences and workshops; visiting professor at multiple medical schools/teaching hospitals across the US and overseas addressing above areas
