Biography
Dr. Danielle B. Holt is originally from Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University and was commissioned as a second lieutenant from the Reserve Officers Training Corps at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2001. Colonel Holt completed the Health Professions Scholarship Program and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University in 2005. From 2005 to 2011, she completed her internship and residency in general surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.
Colonel Holt is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University. Her previous positions include Deputy Chief, Department of Surgery at WRNMMC, from 2022-2023 and Chief, Department of Surgery at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY, from 2019-2021. She has also served as the Division Chief of General Surgery, WRNMMC, with assignment at USU from 2017-2019 and again in 2021. From 2014 to 2017, she was stationed at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX, and served as the Chief of the General Surgery Service. Her first duty station was as the Chief of the General Surgery Clinic at Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright, AK. She is a graduate of the AMEDD Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Army War College.
