Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Bauer obtained her medical degree from the University of Minnesota where she also joined the United States Navy and completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth. She practiced for 3 years as a general internist before completing her endocrine fellowship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and is now practicing as a staff endocrinologist and assistant professor of internal medicine in San Diego, CA. Her main endocrine interests are in diabetes and obesity where she serves on many committees and working groups in the Navy and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE).
