Dr. Ellen Im attended Johns Hopkins University and earned a B.A. in Public Health Studies prior to pursuing her M.D. at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences where she was comissioned as an Air Force Officer. Following graduation from medical school she completed an Internal Medicine Residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio Texas. Then she completed a nephrology fellowship at the same location. Her first assignment was at Wright Patterson Medical center where she served as the Director of Hemodialysis Unit and the Chief of Nephrology for four years. Subsequently, she returned to her alma mater USU as a faculty member and Director of Advanced Clerkship Programs for the Department of Medicine where she enjoys teaching and working with students at all levels.
