Biography
Dr. Felicia Yeboah Denteh is an assistant professor of medicine in the department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences through the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc (HJF). She received her doctorate in Public Health, Epidemiology (Dr.PH) from Georgia Southern University, Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA) from Midwestern State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (BSc), Ghana.
Dr. Denteh is a senior health services researcher in the Center for Health Services Research where she leads the charge in supporting the Military Health System in its goal of achieving a digital future. Dr. Denteh serves as an advisor to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Director’s Action Group Accelerator and is also a member of the National Capital Region Defense Health Network (NCR) Market Informatics Steering Committee (ISC).
Dr. Denteh enjoys teaching and mentoring graduate students pursuing higher education in the area of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics. Her research interests and areas of expertise include Research Science, Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Equity, Maternal & Child Health, as well as Infectious & Chronic Diseases.
Dr. Denteh is also an expert in using large military health systems and state databases to analyze and effectively report on injuries, disease outcomes, illnesses among civilians, veterans, active duty and beneficiaries using Statistical Analysis Software (SAS). She has an extensive international research experience in collecting and analyzing infectious and chronic disease data in clinical settings in Africa.
