Biography

Jim is the Associate Program Director for the Allergy & Immunology Fellowship Program at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) - Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center Campus.  He has served in that role since his retirement from active duty in 2009 as a Colonel in the United States Air Force.  Previous roles included Chairman of Allergy & Immunology at Wilford Hall Medical Center; Program Director, Allergy & Immunology Fellowship - SAUSHEC; and Chief of the Medical Staff/Chief of Clinical Services, Air Force Theater Hospital, Balad, Iraq.

He received his M.D. degree after attending Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons from 1984-1988 and received his B.S. degree after attending Cornell University from 1980-1984.

Jim is a Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
