I am a qualitative research methodologist. My work involves how knowledge is produced within health professions and education. Specifically, my research addresses issues of access and social systems.
Biography
Dr. Kirsten R. Brown is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Professions Education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Trained as a qualitative research methodologist, she teaches in the graduate health professions education program and advises learners on research design and methodology. She has extensive experience developing and delivering curriculum focused on research methods, clinical reasoning, and educational practice in health professions contexts.
Dr. Brown has authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and several book chapters. In addition to her publishing and mentoring activities, she regularly presents at national and international conferences and has been recognized for her contributions to research mentorship and curriculum development.
