Biography

Maurice Kavanagh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Professions Education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He earned his Masters and Doctorate in Education Evaluation and Research from Wayne State University College of Education, with a focus on missing data handling in survey research. He brings more than 30 years medical education experience in the areas of clinical skills, simulation, and high stakes testing. He comes to Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where he was instrumental in the design and implementation of the clinical skills program. He is currently a PhD Distance Educator in the Distance Learning Lab at the Department of Health Professions Education.
