Biography

Olcay Y. Jones, MD, PhD, is a physician scientist specializing in autoimmune, autoinflammatory, and immunedysregulatory diseases of children. She completed her medical degree at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey; residency in Pediatrics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital; and a Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Chicago. She holds a PhD in Immunology and did postdoctoral studies. Her research has focused on achieving remission; she has engaged in clinical trials, published papers on off-label use of biologic response modifiers, and conducted preclinical studies on protocol development for cell-based treatment.  After 18 years of service as the chief of Pediatric Rheumatology at WRNMMC, she remains affiliated with DHA as a Red Cross volunteer and an adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at USUHS to continue her teaching activities.
