Biography
Sandhya Xavier, PhD, is an Assistant Professor, at the Dermatology Division, Department of Medicine, Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, MD. Sandhya received her PhD degree from the University of Mysore, India. She did Postdoctoral training at the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, India followed by a visiting Fellowship in the Radiation Biology Branch, National Cancer Institute, NIH. Prior to joining USU, she was a Research Assistant Professor in the Nephrology Division at Mount Sinai Medical Center (NY), New York Medical College (NY) and University of Virginia. Presently at USU, she works on skin regeneration and hair follicle neogenesis.
