Biography
Steve B. Min, MD, is a Colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and serves as faculty in the Pediatric Gastroenterology Division, Department of Pediatrics, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and was previously the Program Director of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship program at the National Capital Consortium. Dr. Min earned his medical degree from USUHS and completed his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship through the National Capital Consortium at Walter Reed. His clinical and research interests center on eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases, and he founded the first multidisciplinary Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases Clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Min has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including studies on noninvasive biomarkers for eosinophilic esophagitis, the quantitative analysis of endoscopic findings in eosinophilic esophagitis, and the development of innovative educational curricula such as DIGEST (Digital Interactive Gastroenterology Education Suite for Trainees). He has received multiple research awards, including the Ogden Bruton Award, the Bailey K. Ashford Research Competition Award, and the Master Clinician Award from Walter Reed. Dr. Min's distinguished military career includes combat deployment to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division and humanitarian medical missions to Honduras, reflecting his commitment to both military medicine and global health.
