The Foundation's Future of Nursing Scholars program was designed to create a diverse cadre of new PhD-prepared nurses who are committed to a long-term leadership career to strengthen nursing education, advance science and discovery through research, and lead change in nursing and health care.This grant supports two Scholars selected by the Uniformed Services University Daniel K. Inouye Graduate School of Nursing. These scholars will begin their PhD program in September 2016 and complete the program in 2019, and will be part of the third cohort of the Future of Nursing Scholars program. The $75,000 per scholar in RWJF support will be used by the grantee to support the scholar's tuition, stipend, living expenses and fees. The school will match $50,000 for each scholar. RWJF grant funds will be released in July 2016.
