Description
Since October 2008, microbiologic data from the healthcare records of millions of DoD
beneficiaries receiving care at MTF have been recorded in the MHS database. We propose to use
this dataset to evaluate the microbiology and associated risk factors of the listed pediatric
infections among DoD beneficiaries, helping to fill a critical knowledge gap and providing the data necessary to inform optimal empiric antimicrobial prescribing for children.
