Stimulation of smooth muscle growth by serotonin

Project Details

Description

This project is to examine signal transduction by serotonin that leads to vascular smooth muscle hypertrophy and hyperplasia that is observed in pulmonary hypertension.

Layman's description

Pulmonary hypertension can be cause by too much of a cytokine called serotonin. This project is aimed at finding out how serotonin can lead to pulmonary hypertension.
