Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

Acute diarrhea is a worldwide problem, leading to significant morbidity and mortality, particularly among children in the developing world. Understanding its causes and best management practices are crucial to minimizing these devastating effects. That said, in most cases, acute diarrhea is self-limited and requires little in the way of testing or specific treatment other than oral rehydration.
