Abstract

Single unit recordings of the spontaneous activity of neurons in the precentral and postcentral gyri of the squirrel monkey cortex were obtained and the dimensions of the corresponding attractors were calculated. Two distinct population of neurons including a group of low dimensional neurons were identified.
