Abstract

The property of appropriately coupled nonlinear oscillators to spontaneously synchronize has been used to explain a number of important biological regulatory systems. This paper reports results of simulated mathematical models of this process and its disruption by chaotic signals. The possible relation of these results to seizure disorders is examined.
