Abstract
Chronic cardiovascular diseases (CVD), including coronary heart disease (CHD), high blood pressure, and stroke, is the leading cause of death in developed countries. CVD is caused by the interaction of physiological, environmental, and behavioral variables, many of which are a function of individuals' lifestyles and can, to some extent, be controlled and modified by the individual. © 2007
