Abstract

For patients undergoing radical cystectomy, two alternatives to the ileal conduit are intracorporeal orthotopic neobladder (ONB) and continent cutaneous urinary diversion (CCUD). We review the indications for ONB and CCUD and our preoperative considerations when performing each type of reconstruction. Additionally, we demonstrate in detail our reproducible intracorporeal technique for these procedures and describe perioperative as well as postoperative management.
