Abstract
Opportunistic fungal infections have been reported with greater frequency because of an increasing number of immunocompromised patients worldwide. Previously infrequent reports of zygomycosis as an opportunistic infection in individuals with HIV are becoming more numerous. We describe a patient with AIDS who presented with a palatal lesion caused by mucormycosis.
