Abstract

Recurrent hemoptysis associated with physical exercise has previously been unreported. Due to persistent symptoms in an otherwise healthy young female, evaluating and determining the etiology of the bleeding proved to be difficult. This case describes exercise-induced hemoptysis caused by posterior epistaxis that was diagnosed by performing flexible bronchoscopy immediately post exercise.
