Abstract
The role of isotope coded affinity tags (ICAT) and mass spectrometry to measure protein expression changes between untreated and camptothecintreated mouse cortical neurons, was discussed. Equivalent amounts of protein extracted from the control and camptothecin-treated cortical neurons were labeled with the 'light' (ICAT-D 0) and the heavy (ICAT-D 8) isotopic version of the ICAT reagent. The sample was measured by cLC-Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. More than 2,300 peptide pairs were detected in the FTICR-MS analysis.
