Respiratory Failure in an Infant with Known Congenital Anomalies and Novel Genetic Defect

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This case highlights a clinically challenging and ultimately fatal grouping of right pulmonary agenesis, left pulmonary artery sling, and congenital tracheal rings, and describes the complicated task of ventilating patients with this constellation of anomalies. (9)(10) This case is important because it presents a possible association between this group of anomalies and a novel chromosome 3 deletion, which has not been reported in prior cases of patients with this phenotype.
