Abstract

Approximately 15% of the global adult general population has migraine, a chronic intermittent primary headache disorder with a high degree of disability. 1 In addition to the temporary disability associated with migraine attacks, migraineurs may incur additional disability related to other conditions that affect them more often than would be expected by chance-including in particular depression, anxiety, and noncephalic pain.
