Abstract

The following important facts are demonstrated by this study.o1.There is significant morbidity in patients with a preoperative diagnosis of appendicitis who are found to have a normal appendix.2.The diagnostic accuracy in females is especially low, and further preoperative studies might well be indicated.3.Patients with signs and symptoms of appendicitis can have a more serious surgical disease which requires expertise for proper management.
