Abstract
Thallium-201 myocardial perfusion imaging and radionuclide ventriculography are rapidly becoming integral procedures for the noninvasive diagnosis and evaluation of patients with coronary artery disease. The procedures are making possible exciting research into the effects of cardiac rehabilitation and other interventions directly on the hearet. In this article the advantages and limitations of these procedures are discussed.
